Love their food, always hot and fresh and seasoned!
So delicious
I would classify this as more of a Tex-Mex style restaurant but having said that, I was pleasantly surprised by the flavors! The salsa is served mild and hot but the hot is more of a mild-medium. Ask for the spicy one made with jalapeños. It was fantastic and you will not be disappointed!! Hubby ordered the burritos and they are served with a very delightful queso sauce ontop. Beef and chicken - both were great. I had the sopes and although the chile verde was quite flavorful, the masa was super hard around the edges which were too hard to even cut with the steak knife (really!) Once I removed the outter ring the rest of the cake was fine and had great flavor. Our server was kind. There was no wait for a table which I did find unusual for a Friday night. I was not complaining at all though - speedy service is great when a restaurant isn’t slammed. lol Overall, I’d give it a whirl again and maybe try something new next time.
Off to a rough start but the food was good except for the bell peppers being under cooked and the salsa was water runny. The meal came out in an average amount of time. On to the server, she did not listen properly. All in all 4 out of 5 I will give them another chance.
Stopped by Felipe's Jr. today on a whim. The lunch menu had decent pricing and I was quite impressed on how much the items actually cost. I ordered the Mini Jumbo Burrito with chile verde and topped with chile con carne and melted cheese. It was a basic burrito in my opinion. The pork was decent. The tortilla was nice and soft, and the chili con carne had a good spice level to it. But the spiciness wasn't overwhelming at all. It was definitely an ok burrito, but nothing really wow'd me.
Service was great and the atmosphere was very comfortable. I was not rushed and the waitress was attentive the whole time. I have eaten here before and enjoyed the experience. I had the Jumbo Burrito this time with pork. The burrito looked good and was served hot. There were too many refried beans for my taste, which kind of made the burrito mushy. Other food the group had looked appetizing and the hamburger was huge! But don't know how it tasted. He did not share. I would recommend Felipe's as a casual dining restaurant. Restrooms were clean and stocked well.
The burrito is not even a full burrito. Half of a tortilla with very little pork in the burrito
