Rib eye steak, bread rolls, meatballs appetizers, mac n cheese. All of it was delicious. Great ambience, server was super attentive brought us some blankets cause it was a bit chilly. Definitely worth it!!!!
My friends too me here to celebrate my birthday and it was one of the best steak I ever had. We parked at a parking structure like a couple of blocks down because valet parking here is pricey. When we arrived, my friend already made reservations so they took us to our table with the view to the beach and right next to Ocean Ave. The place wasn't really busy from what I notice when we walked past the bar and tables. Our waiter came and explain the menu to us. He was very helpful on the steak, what appetizer to get and how they cook the meat. We started out with the butcher bread because he highly recommended that with the quince and butter. The bread was very good and that quince cream was unique, you couldn't even taste the goat cheese. For our entree I went with the 12oz Filet mignon and my friends got the Ribeye. For our sides, we went with fries and Mac & cheese along with the house salad my friend got. The salad came after the bread and my friends really like it, 1 order of the salad is able to feed 2 people. Then our steak came and it looked delicious. The moment I cut into my filet mignon, I saw it was cooked perfectly to medium rare. The filet mignon was delicious, it was juicy and flavorful. The side of fries I got were delicious as well but you don't get a lot. The Mac & cheese we thought were okay but it wasn't the best. My friends liked their Ribeye steak and chimichurri sauce. The customer service we received here was amazing and we would surely come back in the future.
Made reservations here so unsure if you can just walk in, but if you can, I would recommend still making a reservation as this place is near the beach, and it can get really cold at night. The server we received gave superb service, from knowing how to recommend dishes, giving a pretty accurate description of portion sizes and what to expect as well as not trying to upsell any dishes. When asked about the specials and what was on hand for their dry aged, she was really knowledgeable about the menu itself, it really showed great professional expertise. On top, she did not give off the vibe of a overly fancy server, but rather one where you can casually talk to, which in turn provided a pleasant experience. Every dish that was ordered was either good or surprisingly good. Some of the items, such as the make it yourself charcuterie board, we had no idea what to actually select. Our server helped walk through each option as well as provided her own input on what she likes the best (hint it's not always the expensive options). I would say, this place is a great place for special occasions or sometimes a place where you just want to treat yourself a little more.
I visit Santa Monica dozens of times a year and have been noticing this restaurant for a while. Today, I took some time to try it out, and the aged steak was excellent. The restaurant has a classic decor style, with brown as the main color, which I quite like. The street-facing tables are open-air, offering a pleasant view of the beach and a refreshing sea breeze. The steak quality is outstanding, highly recommended!
I recently went for my friends birthday and it was lovely. The staff was fantastic, super helpful and kind. We ordered a lot of food and shared everything. I really did enjoy the steak and the salad the most.
