Food was nicely presented, very nice flavour, thoroughly enjoyed the meal.
How many stars would you give The Flats ?
Had the hamburger steak with mushrooms and gravy, mashed potatoes, and a side soup, tasted great and the service from Alex L was great, my wife had the Caesar Salad as a starter then the 10oz New York Striploin medium rare with mushrooms and onions and the loaded baked potato. Wife shared some of her steak with me and tasted great. Will definitely go back again and recommend anyone to go and try it.
You walk inside a warm establishment with great friendly staff to help you the utmost way. The local beer tastes amazing served by Sonya I started with a creamy broccoli soup I ordered a full rack of baby rack ribs with their home made Jack Daniel's Sause and it was incredible Will come back anytime here when I'm around
One Monday morning, I made my way to The Flats for breakfast. Whoever is doing their breakfast ads on Instagram is doing their job and it’s was drew me in. I got the Early Riser poached medium. It’s essentially a breakfast poutine. I was very happy with this dish! The presentation, taste and flavours were there. While the potatoes I thought could have used a little more seasoning, the gravy and hollandaise helped. I am pleased with the wide variety of breakfast options and I really want to return with a group of friends soon! This might easily be the next best group breakfast place in the East! Price wise, I think it was average price of $19.98 after tax.
The atmosphere was very inviting and would likely come back another time with others. The server was attentive and made sure everything was topped up all the time, especially my water glass. There were quite a few different selections to choose from. I had a clubhouse on rye with fries and salad for my sides. Everything was fresh and served at the correct temperature for each item. My meal was priced right and I walked out very full. Likely could have saved half of my sandwich, but I didn't feel like carrying it out. The lunch mates and I had shared the skor cheesecake and apple crumble. And we still left a bit of each because we were so full from our lunches. The popular choices where chicken club, quesadillas and clubhouse.
The first impression of the restaurant is that it’s very modern and classic. Ample space, seating and lights. The menu features lots of different appetizers, mains and desserts. We got chicken fajitas sandwich and red pepper blackened chicken pasta. The food was awesome. Both were perfectly balanced in terms of flavour, taste and texture. Both the things had enough sauces so that they are not too dry. Even the bread served with the pasta was perfectly toasted and crunchy. We finished most of it. The nachos were complimentary I think as we didn’t order it. Oh yes, they were okay, the salsa was bland, but the nachos were crispy. We enjoyed our time there. The restaurant was actually completely empty so it was nice to have the whole place to ourselves. Overall 4 on 5 to leave some room for improvement.
