Came here with some friends because I really was curious about the menu. The atmosphere is like an Irish pub vibe, older pub but decorated in that consistent manner. Booths, bar stools & seats and tables. Table service available you just pick your seat and the server will come. There’s also a patio but it wasn’t open when we went. The menu is AWESOME. It’s got some hipster vibes- unique salads and ideas and all sorts of fun menu items as well as traditional bar food. It’s also got some vegetarian options which is great to see. The service was also phenomenal. Lots of laughs, jovial conversation to be had. A long list of drink options to suit your fancy. I had the most amazing salad. I ordered a second chicken breast and it was perfect. The right amount of seasoning and super moist and flavourful. Perfect chicken breast. We also shared a calamari which was very good as well. My only gripe was how loud it was. If it wasn’t people shouting at one another to hear each other, it was the music turned up to have a consistent high level of background noise. We wanted to be able to chat and had some difficulty with it. Otherwise I thoroughly enjoyed it here.

First time going to Yard & Flagon! Ordered the Crab and Artichole dip as an appetizer, and I could taste the crab right away, very tasty! Healthy amount of cheese on the dip and plenty of tacos to go with it! The bison burger had caramelized onions and blue cheese on it, I loved the combination! The poutine had in-house fries, which tasted great! What really stood out was the Butternut Squash and Chickpea Curry stew! The stew had so much flavour to it and came with these fried coconut rice balls, which were so delicious! If my friend had not told me to order the stew, then I probably would have not... it turned out to be the absolute best thing! Very unique stew and is a must for next time! Friendly and efficient service as well as a nice atmosphere!
We sat on the rooftop patio, not sure of the main floor area but it looked like a nice pub atmosphere inside. Food was fantastic, portion size was enormous (I took half home). Not sure why there are so many negative reviews lately, we had attentive service and the atmosphere on the rooftop was very enjoyable.
Elk burger, steak sandwich and crab&artichoke dip were an absolute hit!!! Juicy burgers and steak. Fries were perfect. Was amazing 10/10 would recommend
The bar ambiance is very nice with a superb rooftop. The service is great, and the waitress is always friendly and caring. The food is hit or miss, and I had good and bad days when it comes to food, but recently, it has been more on the good end. Maybe the chef was changed when the food was not good. Recent visits, we had only appetizers with beer and the food was very decent. It is a good place to grab a drink and munch on sharable bar food.
