This place has the best food! Breakfast burritos, hummus, EVERYTHING I have tried here is the best I've ever had! I wish they would open on weekends. I wish they were easier for people to find. A real hidden gem

This place needs to be discovered! Believe me, I grew up in San Antonio, and the food here is as good as home cooked Mexican gets. Complimentary coffee and water bottles. A beautifully nice lady who cooks and prepares to order. The best pico de gallo I've had since the last time I made it myself at home -- okay, even better. Whole pinto beans spiced appropriately with onion, garlic and a hint of oregano and cooked to perfection. I only dropped in here by accident, and I can't say enough to recommend. I'll be back next time I'm in Wichita!

We came here for the first time since seeing it from a local blogger. Absolutely amazing food. We had the quesadilla and it was really good. It was more of a sweet bread but gosh damn, it was amazing. Also, had the tacos, rice and beans. The meat inside the tacos was GREAT. It’s hard to find tacos where the meat is actually seasoned well and taste good. The owners were super nice. Atmosphere was super clean and they some crayons and kid stuff which helped keep our child busy. Definitely will be going back. Highly recommend.

Spending time talking with the owner, I’ve come to love this restaurant because it’s such a wonderful example of unique food and beautiful flavors worth checking out. The braided Challah is to die for. Served warm, with a nice buttery, chewy texture inside and a crispy golden brown outside. This is a slightly sweet traditional bread that is irresistible. Shakshouka served with two sunny side up eggs is a beautiful Stu tomato dish with great acidity countered by the rich fatty egg yolks. You can slap it up with homemade pita, or a big chunk of warm fresh baked Challah bread (do this!). My personal favorite thing I’ve had so far is the Boureka, which is a Middle-Eastern style Filo dough pastry filled with eggs, cheese, spinach, and onions. The flan and burritos are all bangers. I’m still working my way around the menu, but I’ve yet to find some thing I didn’t love. I only wish I took pictures of my food before I ate it. Definitely try this restaurant. There’s quite the interesting blend of cultures in this restaurant that you don’t see too often in our town. The owner’s cultural background comes through their food. Such a pleasant place to enjoy lunch or dinner. It’s a very unique restaurant situated comfortably on the east side of downtown, close proximity to tons of people. Easy access to parking.

We ate here last night and it was HEAVENLY. I had the Campesino, which was delicious and cheap! My boyfriend had the little burrito with beef—the beef was INCREDIBLE. We also shared the shakshuka and the hummus, and brought home the Quesadilla Salvadoreña (it was more cake like and soooo good), and the regular challah and chocolate chip challah. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough! No heavy oil or lard is used, and nothing is deep fried. Maggie (the owner and chef) is also an expert with dealing with food allergies, so she can work with any issue you may have! Please go check her out in the old Beautiful Day Cafe—you won’t be sorry!
